Casa Escama

A simple triangular structure resembling a rooftop is, on one side, covered by a molded paper screen, and on the other it is partially covered by wood veneer scales dropping down to the floor. The wood veneer scales react as the moisture in the room changes, curling upwards and downwards as the atmosphere gets drier.

This small sculpture is meant to be seen from the inside. A small refuge, a small house, for one to breathe in and with. The other side of the house is molded. The movement of the mold as it reacts with moisture is not possible to see, but it is forever breathing and growing.
